In loving memory of my Dad, John Flynn, who dedicated his life to the 'hotdogs' of S.H. Armstrong Recreation Centre.

FITTING DAY

It was fitting day today!  We had the children try on their uniforms.  You can see in the photo below how happy the kids are.  They are so grateful to be able to go to school.  It is a privilege for them to attend. Every child that is lucky enough to get the chance is very grateful.  Thanks to all of you who gave them the opportunity!

UNIFORMS

The Director of our school, Ilda, and I went to Jimenez department store this morning to buy uniforms with the donated money from our bake sale.  It was a bit tricky trying to get all the sizes right, but we managed to purchase all the shirts, pants, socks, and shoes needed.  Most of the kids had outgrown their uniforms from last year, so there were many that wouldn't be able to attend school at all without these uniforms.  Thanks all!

NOTEBOOKS

Notebooks were purchased today and all the Dominicanada supporter’s stickers have been placed inside each front cover.  Each child now knows the names of their friends in Canada who sponsored their school notebooks with their bake sale donations.  All school supplies were also distributed to the children, all from the proceeds of our bake sale,  many thanks everyone!
